Quick valuation

Valuation agent

Every trade-in starts with two numbers.

Enter a VIN or pick the car from the catalogue. The valuation agent finds its comparables in this morning's market and gives you an opening offer and the most you can pay, with the evidence for both.

The result

Where to open. Where to stop.

A quick valuation gives you two numbers before you commit to anything: an opening offer to start the conversation, and the most you can pay and still make your target. Both are worked back from what the car should sell for, and both show how far the evidence can be trusted.

  • Evidence graded strong, moderate, weak or none
  • Days to sell from cars that actually left the market
  • Nothing is saved until you press Save

How the number is built

Worked back from the sale, line by line.

The maximum is the highest price that still leaves your target profit after costs, holding and VAT. Every line is a setting you control. Switch the VAT treatment to see why the evidence matters.

The evidence

Comparables you can open up.

The agent starts from the narrowest match, the same year and trim at a similar mileage, and widens only until it has at least five listings. When it widens, it says so. The evidence grade then drops, and past a point a person must confirm the price.

  • Deposits, monthly prices and typos are thrown out before anything is compared
  • GCC spec and imports are kept apart unless the evidence says otherwise
  • Each known VIN counts once, at its cheapest ad

  3. 3 Year ±1, any trim Mileage within ±40% 133 Not needed
  4. 4 Year ±1, any mileage Any trim 171 Not needed
  5. 5 Year ±1, GCC and non-GCC mixed Capped at weak evidence 236 Not needed

The narrowest group with at least five listings wins. Counts are listings in the 06:00 snapshot, not unique cars.

The match

A guess is labelled a guess.

The variant drives the value, so the match between the VIN and the car is always on screen, in plain words. When the decoder can only guess, the figures carry a warning, and you can pick the right variant from the list.

  • VINs scanned with the phone's camera or typed
  • No VIN? Pick from the catalogue: recent, popular at your dealership or in the market
  • Paid decodes ask before they run

Who does what

The agent prepares. You decide.

The valuation agent Does the homework
  • Decodes the VIN and says how sure the match is
  • Finds the narrowest set of comparables with at least five listings
  • Works back from the expected sale to a maximum and an opening offer
  • Prices VAT cautiously until the treatment is known
You Make the call
  • Confirm the variant, mileage and spec
  • Switch the anchor to a book value or your own figure, with a reason
  • Save the valuation, or turn it into a full appraisal
  • Set the target profit, costs and negotiation room for your business

Questions

Asked on the lot.

Is a quick valuation saved?

Not until you press Save. Then it gets a reference such as QV-1042, and each later save is a new version. A saved valuation is visible only to the person who made it.

Why can the appraisal come out higher?

A quick valuation can't know how the car was bought, so it prices VAT on the full sale price and says so. The appraisal records the seller and their VAT evidence and prices the offer on that. Finance confirms the treatment before the purchase completes; if it turns out less favourable, the offer goes back to be re-priced.

What if there aren't enough comparables?

The agent widens the match step by step and tells you each time. If the evidence is still weak, or there is none, the screen says so, and a person confirms the expected sale price before an offer can go out.

Is the market price live?

No. Market figures come from a daily snapshot read at 06:00 Gulf time, and each one shows that time. A monthly guide price is never shown as a live market price.

Can we use our own margins?

Yes. Target profit, minimum profit, negotiation room, holding cost and standard costs are your settings. Saving them creates a new version; offers already made never change.

Does it work for imported cars?

Yes. GCC-spec and imported cars are compared with their own kind first. If the evidence ever has to mix them, the valuation says so and the grade drops.
