Owner's brief

Where the money sits, on Sunday night.

Stock, appraisals and the market on one page, built from the same records and formulas as Home and Stock, so no two screens disagree. Every figure says how many cars it covers.

The owner's brief

Sunday night, in four numbers.

The owner's Home leads with days in stock against the target, aged capital, offers waiting across rooftops and pricing exceptions, under a summary in plain words. When a number needs a closer look, Insights has the cars behind it.

  • A pricing exception is at least 3 offers averaging 10% or more below the recommended offer
  • Aged capital is at cost for people who may see cost, and at asking prices for everyone else
  • A brand-new owner's Home is honest but bare: it fills in as your records build up

Numbers that agree

One set of numbers on every screen.

Home, Stock and Insights are built from the same records with the same metric functions. The days in stock on the owner's Home, the stock list and the Stock health dashboard is one number, worked out one way.

  • Every aggregate states its coverage, such as 61 of 64 cars
  • A figure that can't be worked out says “Not enough data”, not zero
  • One rule feeds Home's work queue, the Appraisals badge and the “Waiting for me” view

Days to sell

Days to sell, never days listed.

Days to sell counts only cars that left the market: ads missing from two consecutive complete snapshots. How long the ads still for sale have been listed is shown as days listed, and never used as a selling time. Valuations work out holding cost from days to sell.

  • An ad doesn't count as gone if it was relisted, its site had an outage or the whole feed shrank by more than 30%
  • Leaving the market is a proxy for a sale, not proof of one
  • Fastest-selling models ranks a model only when at least 10 of its cars left the market in the last 90 days

Three dashboards

Three dashboards, and who opens them.

Insights opens for owners, group admins, used-car managers, buyers, finance and read-only viewers. Sales executives and prep coordinators don't see it. Each dashboard then checks its own permission.

Questions

Asked on Sunday night.

Who can open Insights?

Owners, group admins, used-car managers, buyers, finance and read-only viewers. Sales executives and prep coordinators can't. The appraisals dashboard also needs access to everyone's appraisals, the Market dashboard needs market search, and the leaderboard is for people who manage a team.

Will Insights match Home and Stock?

Yes. All three are built from the same records with the same metric functions, so days in stock, aged stock and price to market are worked out one way. In Insights, every aggregate also states how many cars it covers.

What's the difference between days to sell and days listed?

Days to sell counts cars that left the market in the last 90 days. Days listed is how long the ads still for sale have been listed. DealRevs shows both, and never uses days listed as a selling time.

Is the Market dashboard live?

No. It comes from a daily snapshot of UAE listings read at 06:00 Gulf time, and shows that time. If a run is late, the screens say so and show the snapshot they are using.

Which periods can I compare?

This or last week, month and quarter, the last 30 days and this year, each against the period before, in your organisation's time zone. Stock health always compares today with 30 days ago.

Can I export the figures?

People with the export permission can download a table as CSV. Every export is recorded in the audit log.
